In a surprise announcement that wasn’t so surprising, Treyarch has announced that Call Of Duty Black Ops 4, or Black Ops IIII (que a joke about how Treyarch doesn’t understand Roman numerals). You can find the live announcement trailer below.
After a month of speculation from when Eurogamer released an article about the new instalment it was finally confirmed that the new installment to the Call Of Duty series this year would be Black Ops 4.
One known fact is that we have a (kind of) release date for Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 which will be in October instead of November. I guess we will see how this affects sales as it isn’t as close to Christmas which is the most important time for game sales.
An exact release date is not known but more details will be known during a live stream event on May 17th. Treyarch has commented, saying the new COD “represents a game-changing experience.”. This would be exciting news if this wasn’t said about the new Call of Duty every year that it comes out.
Fans are eager to find out when the game is set, as the franchise has taken a lot of heat for its more futuristic settings with jetpacks and wall running, but fans have praised the 2017 instalment for its World War II setting. I’m sure fans of the extremely popular “Zombies” game mode will wonder how the plot will continue after the story of the “original characters” came to an end in Black Ops 3.
Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 will be releasing on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and is rumoured to also have a Switch release.
Once more is known, we will be sure to let you know. For all your gaming news, keep it savvy.
