Rumours were flying after Fallout 76 was teased a few weeks and we finally know what it is now. Fallout 76 is an online survival RPG that Todd Howard described as “Softcore survival”. As many people have asked, Todd also explained that the game can be played as a solo experience, but it is much easier to play online with friends. Servers will hold a few dozen people at a time and the map. Luckily, your progress, items, and level will carry over with you no matter where you go.
The game will again have the base building that debuted in Fallout 4 but seems to have a lot more detail and work put into it. The homes you build can be shared with your friends when you play online and can be attacked by other players and monsters. Speaking of monsters, some of them are based on Virginian folk lore and were teased in the new trailer. The game is set 20 years after the nuclear fallout hit the United States and that the map will be 4 times bigger than Fallout 4. Probably to fit all those people that will be on the map with you
Fallout 76 will also feature nuclear missiles that can be launched to hit any part of the map. This can completely destroy bases and wipe other players/enemies off the map. You will need to find and then use launch keycards to attack other settlements on the map. After the bombs fall, players will be able to revisit that location on the map to harvest different kinds of resources that can’t be found anywhere else. Fallout 76 is scheduled to release on November 14th of this year. The special addiction will include a glow in the dark map, figures and a wearable power suit helmet. It will cost over 200 dollars. For all things Fallout related, stay savvy everyone.
