At E3 2017, Rare and the Sea Of Thieves team showed off the magic of going on an adventure with your friends. At Gamescom 2017, the team has been so hard at work that they’re showing off a brand new build on the Gamescom floor.
Something else that’s brand new on the floor is Sea of Thieves on PC’s. Something else that’s even NEWER is those PC players seamlessly playing with the console gamers.
Yes, that’s right, crossplay has officially been confirmed for Sea of Thieves with PC and presumably Windows 10 devices. So your PC friends who’ve always looked down on you for playing a less expensive, more convenient, out of the box gaming machine, can now play along with you! All the more fun with none of the judgment! The team was also adamant about it being a “no asterix” crossplay meaning it’s absolutely seamless.
The team also announced that they’ve got the gaming running at 60 frames per second in 4K meaning it’s going to run beautifully on the Xbox One X.
You’ll be able to play along with your friends when the game released in 2018.
