Nintendo is porting Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition to the Nintendo Switch. At their March 8th Nintendo Direct, the company announced a release date of May 18th, 2018 for the Hyrule battling game.
In Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, we’ll be getting characters from the original Wii U title as well as the 3DS port, adding up to 29 characters in all. That is some guD cOtentz Nintendo which makes sense why they’re calling it definitive edition.
In Hyrule Warriors, you can play as Link, Princess Zelda, Ganondorf, Darunia, Sheik and many more. Each character has their own unique set of weapons and abilities that keep the action fasted based and a little more exciting.
The Nintendo Switch edition of Hyrule Warriors will include new outfits for Link and Zelda from The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, winner of this years game of the year award. (and rightfully so but you can argue with me on Twitter)
Hyrule Warriors was one of the first first-party IP’s that Nintendo put into the hands of a third party development studio. With Crash Bandicoots N. Sane Trilogy coming to the Nintendo Switch along with South Park: The Fractured But Whole and Bayonetta 3’s darker tone, it looks like Nintendo is doing what they can to give gamers the full gaming experience on their Nintendo Switch rather than keeping everything in-house.
I for one am on board.
