As we know from E3 2017 this year, Playerunknowns’s Battlegrounds is coming to Xbox One.
Brendan Greene, the man behind Battlegrounds, attended Microsoft’s Gamescom Livestream to announce developers Bluehole and Microsoft have partnered up, with Microsoft now set to publish the Xbox One version.
So what exactly does that mean?
Well, with Microsoft stepping in and lending a hand, most likely the console version will be developed quicker than anticipated.
As I stood by my computer waiting for a release date, Brendan wasn’t exactly ready to share a date with us. From the trailers we’ve seen, it would appear a holiday 2017 release date in mind and Brendan has stated the game will launch before the end of the year but I wouldn’t be surprised at an early 2018 release.
For a game that’s recently eclipsed the 8 million mark in sales in just a few months, I’m sure Xbox fans are excited to see what all the hype is about when they finally get there hands-on the game.
Below you’ll find the Gamescom 2017 gameplay trailer provided by Bluehole for Xbox’s Gamescom Livestream.
