Sea of Thieves gameplay trailer looks amazing
Microsoft showed off some Sea of Thieves gameplay on the Microsoft Stage at E3 2017 playing in 4k on their new Xbox One X. This was the first time that we got a sense of what we’ll actually be doing in the game, and it’s everything that I wanted it to be.
With your crew, you sail the sea’s, following clues and maps in search of buried treasure. From the trailer, we got to see that there is secrets around every corner, mystery and magic in the game, simple yet deadly combat with skeletons, sharks, other pirates and maybe a Kraken? (Oh god please I hope there’s a Kraken).
On stunning 4k on Microsofts newest console, the Xbox One X, we got to see a team of swashbucklers dive deep into the ocean to retrieve treasure from a shrunken ship. They had a close encounter with a great white shark and had to narrowly avoid getting eaten to bring the treasure back to their boat. Then they were lead to an island and luckily found a secret entrance into a cave system. Following some cryptic clues, they were eventually lead to some secret buried treasure. But, escape wouldn’t be easy.
Suddenly they were faced against an army of skeletons for which they had to battle their way through to bring the treasure back to the ship. The shot and hacked and slashed their way back, 0nly to engage in a ship battle with another team! The character we were following shoots themselves out of a cannon onto the other ship and takes the team out one by one… only to fall in the water and get eaten by a shark.
I was excited for this game before this E3 conference but after the gameplay trailer, I need this in my life, plain and simple. This might have moved into one of my most anticipated games, announced for release in early 2018.
