Goin Down To Nintendo Gonna Have Myself A Time
South Parks follow up to the successful Stick Of Truth, South Park: The Fractured But Whole will be making its way to Nintendo Switch consoles as of April 24th, 2018. It was announced at Nintendo’s May 8th Nintendo Direct along with the information that at launch, not one, not two, but… oh wait ya TWO DLC packs will be available, followed by a third DLC installment later this year.
You can check out the announcement trailer below.
In South Park: The Fractured But Whole, we saw the kids of South Park, including Cartman, Kenny, Stan and Kyle, trade in their fantasy outfits for superhero costumes. Instead of turn-based combat, the game features a grid-based combat system that allows for a better depth of combat and teamwork.
As of last year, the creators admitted there were no plans to bring South Park: The Fractured But Whole to the Nintendo Switch. Of course, things change. But I’ curious as to whether this was a move by the team to get the game into more hands or a move by Nintendo to get a game with more adult content on the platform. As we’ve seen with the new Bayonetta trailer, Nintendo isn’t afraid to stray away from it’s cute and cuddly characters.
