The sequel to Ubisoft’s popular game, The Division, has officially been announced at E3. The game is releasing on March 15th, 2019 and will take place in the most guarded city in the world, Washington DC. The Division is an online only game that is a shooter/RPG hybrid. DC is constantly under threat as citizens are trying to rebuild their lives after a deadly plague has ravaged the city. 8 players will also be able to team up due to raids being introduced in The Division 2. There will 3 DLC packs with new areas, weapons and many new features. Oh one more thing, all these DLC packs will be absolutely free. The Division 2 will also be supported for years to come with frequent large updates.
Ubisoft released this Statement about The Division 2; “We’re thrilled to announce that we are working on Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, and that development will be led by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with Ubisoft Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Bucharest,” reads a statement on the Ubisoft website. “The Division 2 will be powered by an updated version of the Snowdrop engine that enables us to realize our ambitions for the sequel, but more importantly, we’re also taking everything we learned over the past two years and applying it towards the sequel to make sure we get it right.”
