In one of the best E3 moments this year, Bethesda has released a video titled “Skyrim Very Special Edition“, joking about how everyone says that Skyrim gets ported to every console ever. Well, this time, they didn’t hold back and they went with the punches. During the hilarious video, is has Keegan Micheal Key (From Key & Peele) choosing to play Skyrim not on his Switch, nor Xbox, but actually his Amazon Alexa. The game is played via voice command, and seems to be very aware of itself and of all the jokes people make about Skyrim like going right over the mountain instead of walking around it, and eating massive amounts of cheese.
But, as the dust settled after Bethesda’s conference, it turns out that the Skyrim Very Special Edition is actually real! You are able to download as of now and According to the Amazon.com listing, the Skyrim Very Special Edition allows you to “take your rightful place as the Dragonborn of legend (again) and explore Skyrim using the power of your voice…your Thu’um!”
What a time we live in, where memes are taken so seriously and are made into real life products. Still waiting to play Skyrim on my etch-a-sketch though but we’ll probably get the Elders Scrolls 6 before that happens. For all things fridge-ported-Skyrim related, stay savvy everyone.
