Have you ever found yourself sitting at your desk at work just wishing you could go home and play video games? For many of us gamers; life, work, and friends take up many hours that could be spent trying to catch Pokémon in the latest Pokémon game or robbing trains in Red Dead Redemption. And while there’s nothing I can do or say to your boss that could convince them to let you go home and play video games, there is a podcast I can recommend so that you feel as if you’re still getting your video game fix while you’re getting through the daily struggle of life.
Hosted by Alex Derickson, The PlayStation Forecast is a deep-dive PlayStation-centric podcast that not only covers all things Sony and PlayStation, but covers weekly gaming news, discusses new releases, talks about the games he’s currently playing, and more. His casual commentary not only provides the listener with valuable information on each topic, but also brings a unique opinion and perspective while welcoming discussion from the audience. And don’t worry, it’s spoiler-free.
It’s obvious that Alex is a life-long video game player who thinks analytically when it comes to the games he plays and is passionate about gaming and sharing his love and knowledge with the public. I spoke to Alex and he said, “I started [PlayStation Forecast] because after my son was born in February, I was worried I wouldn’t have time for games anymore and I didn’t want to lose that part of me, so this was a way for me to stay up on the current events.” As someone who lives a hectic life, he’s surprisingly adept at keeping up-to-date.
So while you may not have time to play all of the video games you’d like to, you can still listen to the PlayStation Forecast and learn a thing or two. You can find the PlayStation Forecast on all Podcast streaming services and Spotify as well as a video version on Youtube. Alex can be found on Twitter here: @PressXtoAlex.
